Hugo Grancho Silva is an experienced Lead Product Developer currently working at EDP, where he is responsible for data and technology specifications, requirements, architecture, and system integration for new downstream decentralized solutions. He is also involved in financial business models, problem-solving, and agile methodology. In addition, he supervises project teams and Master's and MBA's projects with Nova SBE. Hugo has a strong background in data science, having previously worked as a Data Scientist at EDP. In this role, he led data science projects for the smarthome marketing and sales department, working closely with product, marketing, and sales teams to extract knowledge and insights from raw data. He developed big data and machine learning projects to discover hidden relationships and created ad-hoc reports and automatic dashboards to follow the business and preventively act on the field. Hugo's skills include negotiation with stakeholders for requirements, deadlines, and deliverables; gathering, cleaning, and manipulating data & ETL; designing, building, and maintaining reports and dashboards; performing statistical analysis to infer strategic insights; and building and validating mathematical and machine learning models for predictive analysis. He is proficient in R, Shiny, Highcharts, shinyapps, Excel, SQL, Qualtrics, and Google Analytics. Hugo holds a Master's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico and completed a Science and Technology course at Escola Secundária da Amadora. He has over 8 years of relevant experience as a software engineer, decentralized specialist, integration expert, front-end developer, data scientist, and research scientist.
